Hon. Chinedu Mkpuma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate for Ezza South Local Government Area, has pledged to replicate Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s People Charter of Needs at the grassroots if elected chairman of the council.

Mkpuma made the pledge on Saturday at Onueke, Ezza South LGA, while speaking during the ongoing local government and councillorship elections in Ebonyi State.

He expressed satisfaction with the turnout of voters at the polling centre, describing the participation as encouraging and an indication of the support of the people for his candidacy.

“I’m really happy, especially with the turnout of people who came out to vote for me. I’m highly excited,” Mkpuma said.

He thanked Governor Nwifuru, whom he described as the leader of the APC in Ebonyi State, as well as the people of Ezza South for supporting his political journey.

Mkpuma assured the electorate that he would not disappoint them if given the mandate, promising to make the people of Ezza South proud through responsive grassroots leadership.

Assessing Governor Nwifuru’s administration, the APC candidate said the governor had performed creditably, particularly through the implementation of his People Charter of Needs development agenda.

According to him, governor Nwifuru’s achievements and development approach had provided lessons that would guide his administration at the local government level.

He further assured the governor of his support ahead of the 2027 general elections, promising to consolidate the governor’s achievements in bringing the People Charter of Needs closer to residents of Ezza South.

Mkpuma said Nwifuru had “done marvelously,” adding that his administration’s development model would serve as a blueprint for grassroots governance in Ezza South.
