In his avowed commitment to supporting the leadership and governance of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions and Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, on Friday, December 13, 2025, attended the 2025 Ebonyi Youth Summit held at Meritona Hotel, Abakaliki.
Ogah, in his goodwill message, congratulated the leadership of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON) Youth Movement, led by Hon. Chinedu Emerike, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization and National President of the movement, for successfully organizing the FON Youth Movement Award Night, which attracted youths from the thirteen (13) Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State.
The lawmaker commended Governor Nwifuru for his democratic style of governance, youth inclusiveness, and the consistent empowerment and employment of young people across the state. He expressed satisfaction with the manner in which the governor is piloting the affairs of Ebonyi State, particularly the attention and positive impact of government policies on the youth population.
However, Ogah urged the youths to reciprocate the confidence reposed in them by the governor by effectively utilizing the empowerment opportunities provided by the state government. He advised them to take full advantage of Governor Nwifuru’s empowerment programs to secure their future and contribute meaningfully to the economic development of the state. He emphasized that with the massive empowerment initiatives of the government, there should be visible investments and productive economic engagement by youths across Ebonyi State.
He further stressed that Governor Nwifuru’s administration is anchored on the People’s Charter of Needs, which prioritizes the welfare and development of Ebonyi people and remains committed to giving youths a strong voice in governance.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, who was represented by the Speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa. Also in attendance was the former Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Chief Martin N. Elechi, MFR, CON, who served as the Father of the Day and was represented by his son, Elechi Elechi, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Investment.
Other dignitaries present included the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha; the APC Secretary, Chief Charles Chukwuma Ofoke; Commissioners Odoh Ben Uruchi, Dr. Ilang Donatus, and Richard Ugo Idike.
Also present were Chief Chikaodili Ojimba, Chief Joseph Nwoke Nweke, Local Government Coordinators of FON Youth Movement, members of the Central Planning Committee, and other stakeholders.
The event featured lectures, award presentations, entertainment, displays by indigenous artists, and a Christmas carol.
