Yuletide: We've Been Equipped To Secure Life, Property Of Ebonyians -- Eze

The Special Assistant to Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi state on Internal security, Capital City, Mr Panchris Ikechukwu Eze popularly known as Power, said, the state Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has given them the necessary support more than ever before, to maintain the existing peace in the state and ensure that lives and property of all Ebonyians and residents alike, are fully protected especially this yuletide period and beyond.

Eze, stated this in his office, Old Government House Abakaliki, Tuesday, during an interaction with our reporter. He opined that Ebonyi state has remained the safest State to live in the entire South due to the  priority attention and strategic investment of the state Governor in the security of life and property of the people, noting that he will continue to strengthen the internal security architecture to give the capital city, the most needed security during this Christmas season and beyond.

"Ebonyi State has remained the safest State in the entire South East States due to the priority and strategic investment our able Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has made in the security which has been predicted on measure of effectiveness of the security agencies in the state in crime prevention and control. I want to tell you that we're in charge and no course for alarm as far as the security in the capital city is concerned.

"Ebonyi state neighborhood watch has been of great help in stabilizing the security of the state and I tell you, we're go to go".

Mr Eze Ikechukwu assured those returning for Christmas and New year celebrations of adequate security and warned those coming with the motive to perpetrate crime to have a rethink as the state is no longer a place one commit crime and go Scott free.

"For those returning or coming  to celebrate Christmas in the state, they are warmly welcome and are assured of adequate security in the state. We have mapped out of security strategy to ensure peaceful Christmas and new year celebrations. Our neighborhood watch members will be every where. We have over 8 patrol units within the capital city for water-tight  security and round the clock patrol of the entire capital city.

"I want to tell the criminals that Ebonyi state is not a place you can come in and do anyhow and get away with it. We have been in this job and not today, so those that are preparing to use this season and perpetrate one form of crime or the other should have a rethink or be ready to face the consequences of their action.

"Our Governor remains the best in the south east, security wise and in other areas.

"He has equipped us more than ever before and I want say it again, anybody that is coming to look for trouble in Ebonyi state is wasting his time. The governor has done more for us and we assure him that we are going to do more in checkmating crime and criminality in the state".

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Internal Security, capital city, underscored the healthy synergy with other sister security agencies in the state, which he has been yielding positive results.

"We have been working in good synergy with other security agencies especially the police in the area of intelligence gathering and some times, we arrest suspect and handover to police for onward prosecution and these healthy synergy has been giving us positive results".

He enjoined all to celebrate peaceful and refrain from any action that may tend to undermine the peace and Security of the people as no security breach will be condoned during these festive season and beyond.

"I want to enjoin all law abiding citizens of the state to feel and Celebrate the Christmas and new year peacefully as the state will remain safe and secure before, during and after the yuletide period.

"Don't involve yourself in any act that may tend to jeopardize the existing peace in the state because, we will not spare anyone found causing breach of peace in the state", he concluded.
