Ebonyi state Deputy Governor, Dr Eric Kelechi Igwe has felicitated with Christians in the state on the occasion of 2022 Easter celebration.
In his Easter message, Dr said;
"As Christians all over the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ after crucifixion and death , may I on behalf of my Wife, Nnenna rejoice with Ebonyi people and entire Christian community. This occasion commemorates the arrival of spring and renewal of life and inspire Christians to new hope, prosperity and happiness.
"It has also afforded us the opportunity to re-examine our conscience on true meaning of love, forgiveness, peace, reconciliation, brotherliness and sacrifices which Jesus symbolises.
"Since Easter sparks in us the resilience of human spirit, I urge you to remain dogged and prayerful in the face of daunting challenges such as insecurity. This is a season of triumph of good over evil, I admonish communities who are currently in conflict to use this opportunity to mend fences and resolve to coexist as brothers and sisters.
"It is important to appreciate Ebonyi people for their unflinching support to our administration headed by His Excellency, Engr David Nweze Umahi and to assure you of our commitment to continue to improve the welfare of the people.
"The general election is around the corner, therefore, it behoves on us to intensify prayers for peaceful elections and divine direction in electing only leaders with interest of the people at heart".
