Eid-el-Kabir: NSCDC deploys 528 Corps, assures hitch free in Ebonyi

At least 528 personnel were deployed by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, of Ebonyi State Command who has 'put in place a water tight operational strategy to gurantee a peaceful and hitch free Eid-El-Kabir celebrations in the state.'





This was contained in a statement issued and made available to newsmen by the Command Public Relations Officer, CSC Paul Odimba on Tuesday in Abakaliki.




Odimba earlier said, "in order to achieve a peaceful 2021 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations in the State, Commandant Lucy Samu has approved the deployment of 528 personnel to cover all prayer grounds, parks, recreational centres and all national assets in Ebonyi."



The NSCDC's State Spokesman said the Command enjoined the members of the public to report every suspicious act in their locality to the nearest Security Agency and can also reach the command Rapid Response Team with the following numbers: 08056175592, 08036371880 and 08154756586.



Recall that Commandant Lucy Samu in the statement also advised all unscrupulous elements planning to cause breach of peace during or after the festival to steer clear of the state.



Commandant Samu therefore, wished all the Muslim faithfuls in the state a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
