Easycook: Another great feat of Governor Ayade of Cross River State



It is indeed another feather added to the cap of Governor Ben Ayade led Cross River industrial revolution which has inculcated in the lifestyle of an average resident, the spirit of innovation, Emmanuel Ayade writes.



This is confirmed in the feat as scored by the Team DC Solar Element Stove. The Team's amazing winning innovation is called Easycook. The stove cooks with an energy mix. It can cook with mains (NEPA), generator, batteries, inverters, solar/wind renewables and even your car cigarette adapter (when you travel or are out on a picnic, camp-meetings etc.



Of 511 projects from all Nigerian universities,  Team  DC Solar Element Stove won First Prize at the Grand Finale of the prestigious Science and Technology Innovation Challenge (STIC), at Yenagoa. The competition was sponsored by the Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board.(NCDMB).




According to a statement issued in Calabar by the Team's head of media and publicity, Mr Phil-Anthony Ogbeche, the team is billed to be in the United Kingdom in September 2021 where they will be showcasing this laudable innovation in the Hult Prize, the team qualified as Africa's representative among thousands of other contestants who entered for the contest in the whole of Africa!




The Honourable Minister for information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has invited the Team to Abuja so that he can receive them and showcase the innovation to the nation and the world.
