Bayelsa: Police arrest armed robber in Army uniform



Bayelsa Police State Command has arrested  a suspected armed robber in an Army uniform.


The Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, SP Asinim Butswat made this known in a press statement on Tuesday.


The PPRO said, one suspected armed robber has been arrested with fake Army uniform and other amunitions.



According to a report, the Operation Puff Adder II, of the Command  recovered a locally made pistol, eight Catridges, illicit drugs, and an Army camouflage  bullet proof vest from the robber.



While acting on a tip off, the  operatives arrested the suspect named Teke Kulukulu popularly known as Chief 'm' aged 37 years, in  possession of a locally made pistol, catridges and illicit drugs, at off-Ayama Road, Famgbe, Yenagoa. 



A search according to the report was conducted in his house where an Army camouflage bullet proof vest was also recovered. 






"The suspect is cooperating with the Police and he will soon appear in Court at the conclusion of the investigation", the report revealed. 




The Commissioner of Police,  Bayelsa State Command CP Mike Okoli fsi, advised residents to always volunteer useful information that will assist the Police in fishing out criminals in the State.
