2021: Ebonyi welcomes baby at 12:00am

Rachael, Wife of Governor David Umahi has welcomed first baby of 2021 at the Mile Four Maternity Hospital, Abakaliki, delivered around 12:00a.m.

Mrs Umahi while welcoming the baby, thanked God for gift of a baby boy and commended the hospital management for their commitment and attention to the baby who were incubated. 

She made the commendation on Friday in Abakaliki during her visit to the first baby who was delivered through cesarean operation.

“We are joining the family of this baby to thank God for safe delivery and for gift of a baby boy. 

"We pray for healthy recovery of the baby and mother. We pray his brought up properly for the betterment of the society and his family,” she said.

The hospital administrator, Sister Charity Munoye said the cesarean operation was successfully done. 

Munonye said that the baby was born at 12:00a.m, weighing 3.75kg and was delivered of a mother, Mrs Esther Nwabuchechi. 

She also applauded Governor David Umahi and wife for making impact in the lives of indigent patients in the state.

"We are praying and hoping that the baby be restored to his normal health. And we have assured the mother that he will be fine soon," Munonye said. 

The State Commissioner for Health, Dr Daniel Umezurike thanked Mrs Umahi on her commitments to support the downtrodden in the state 

 Mrs Esther Nwabuchechi, a mother with seven children from Ezza-North Local Government Areas (LGA) of the state, thanked God for a successful surgical operation and support from Mrs Umahi.

NATIONAL PANEL reports that Mrs Umahi presented various baby and food items to the baby's mother at the hospital.
