The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State is fully prepared to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all party candidates in the 2027 general elections.

Ogah, who is also the Ebonyi State Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), made the declaration on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the South-East TSG Rally and official inauguration of the Anambra State TSG Office held at Solution Fun-City Stadium, Awka, Anambra State.

The federal lawmaker reaffirmed the party's commitment to grassroots mobilisation, internal unity and strategic political engagement, stressing that sustained collaboration among party leaders, stakeholders and supporters would be crucial to securing victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.

He expressed confidence that the developmental programmes of President Tinubu and APC governors across the South-East would further strengthen the party's acceptance and electoral prospects in the region.

Ogah particularly commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his administration's commitment to human capital development, especially in the education sector.

He cited the state government's scholarship initiative, which he said had enabled 310 beneficiaries to pursue PhD programmes in the United Kingdom and other countries, describing the intervention as a strategic investment in the future of Ebonyi youths.

According to him, the initiative demonstrates the importance of investing in education and equipping young people with the knowledge and skills required to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state and the country.

Speaking on the achievements of the Tinubu administration, Ogah said ongoing infrastructure projects, including road construction and bridge development, had continued to reinforce the APC's appeal among the people of the South-East.

“We are here to inform the South-East that Ebonyi people are 100 per cent for the APC. Our support is driven by the developmental strides of Mr President, including road construction, bridges and other critical infrastructure,” he said.

The lawmaker specifically referenced the coastal highway projects and other road and bridge initiatives, including the Afikpo–Cross River Bridge and the Oferekpe–Obubra Road, which he said had benefited from the efforts of the Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Nweze Umahi.

Ogah maintained that such infrastructure investments would improve connectivity, facilitate economic activities and strengthen links between communities across the region.

He also reiterated his longstanding political allegiance to President Tinubu, noting that his support for the President dated back to 2018.

“We have identified with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu since 2018, and our commitment remains unwavering. Ebonyi State is APC, and we are determined to mobilise effectively across the state in support of President Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027,” he added.

Ogah further emphasised that the APC's anticipated electoral success would depend on effective coordination, strong grassroots structures and the active participation of party members across the state's 13 local government areas.

He assured that the Tinubu Support Group in Ebonyi would continue to engage political stakeholders, strengthen mobilisation networks and promote the party's programmes and achievements ahead of the general elections.

The rally, which brought together prominent APC leaders and TSG coordinators from across the South-East, provided a platform for consolidating party structures, expanding grassroots participation and coordinating support for President Tinubu and other APC candidates in 2027.

Among the dignitaries at the event were the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu; the South-East Zonal Director of Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, FCNA; and the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the APC, Dr. Benjamin Obi Nwoye.
