Ebonyi APC Chairman Warns Against Dissunity In Onicha APC

The Ebonyi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has called for unity among APC stakeholders in Onicha local Government Area, warning against any further factionalization of the party in the LGA. He insist that APC remains one united and indivisible family in the State, and appealled to the stakeholders to jettison personal political pursuits and embrace peace for the overall interests of the party,


Chief Emegha stated this during an enlarged stakeholders meeting of the party from Onicha Local Government Area which held on Saturday, at the APC State Secretariat, Waterworks Road Abakaliki.


The meeting was attended by current and former political office holders, community and opinion leaders from various autonomous communities of the LGA.


It was gathered that the meeting was convened to reviewed challenges and prospects of the party in the council ahead of the 2027 general elections, and recommended strategic interventions aimed at strengthening the structures of the party in the area.


While advocating for peace and unity among the stakeholders and leaders of the party in the area, Chief Emegha commended candidates of the party from the LGA for their efforts so far in reaching out to the people.


He however urged them to step up their grassroot engagements in order to make things easier for the party.


The Chairman of the Local Government Area, Hon. Ikechukwu Ogbofia, appreciated the Chairman for the meeting, disclosing that he had earlier held a similar meeting with Onicha stakeholders where, according to him, they all unanimously agreed to work together in peace and in love.


He assured the Chairman that he would ensure that similar meetings would be stepped down to all the electoral wards of the council before the commencement of campaigns.


A Former Deputy Governor of the state, Prof. Chigozie Ogbu, promised on behalf of Onicha people that all issues among the stakeholders would be amicably resolved as soon as possible.


He assured the party that Onicha LGA would vote massively for all candidates of the party during the elections.


The meeting ended with a resolution calling on all candidates of the party from Onicha Local Government Area to immediately step up their grassroot engagements with the people while the party explore options for further interventions.
