Council Polls; Inyaba DC Coordinator Confident Of APC's Victory In Ishielu

The Coordinator of Inyaba Development Centre in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Prince Chukwudi Nweze, has expressed confidence that the developmental projects of Governor Francis Nwifuru and the performance of the council chairperson, Mrs Peace Agwu, will guarantee victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming local government elections.

Nweze stated this on Tuesday while speaking with journalists at Ezillo, the headquarters of Ishielu LGA, during the APC campaign rally ahead of the August 22 local government elections.

He said the large turnout at the rally was a clear indication of the party’s popularity and acceptance across the local government, insisting that the APC had no serious opposition in Ishielu.

“Looking at the mammoth crowd here today, it is obvious that Ishielu is APC and APC is Ishielu,” Nweze said.

He particularly commended the council chairperson for what he described as her impressive performance during her first tenure, saying her achievements had placed her in a strong position to secure another term in office.

“Our local government chairperson is doing well. Her performance in her first tenure has demonstrated her capacity and commitment to the development of Ishielu.

“She has no challenger because the people have seen what she has done, and in her second term, she will consolidate on her amazing performance,” he said.

Nweze who is also chairman DC Coordinators forum, Ishielu LGA also commended Governor Nwifuru for what he described as his administration’s commitment to fulfilling its promises to the people of Ebonyi State.

“Governor Nwifuru has done more than he promised us. His developmental projects and programmes are visible across the state, and the people of Ishielu are beneficiaries of his administration’s efforts,” he said.

The APC chieftain assured that residents of Inyaba Development Centre would give overwhelming support to the party’s candidates in the local government elections.

“Before 12 noon on election day, Inyaba Development Centre will deliver massive votes for all APC candidates, both at the local government level and in the general elections.

“We are strongly behind Governor Nwifuru’s re-election bid in 2027. There is no opposition in Inyaba Development Centre,” Nweze declared.

He urged APC supporters to remain united and peaceful before, during and after the elections, saying the party’s focus was to consolidate the gains recorded under the Nwifuru administration.

Nweze maintained that the combination of the governor’s development initiatives and the council chairperson’s performance had strengthened the APC’s support base in Ishielu, expressing confidence that the party would record a decisive victory at the polls.
