Stakeholders and constituents of Ikwo South State Constituency has commended the speaker of Ebonyi state House of Assembly and member representing Ikwo South Constituency, Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa, for his Sterling Leadership disposition and unwavering committment to advancing the course of Agricultural productivity and food security through annual distribution of fertilizer and other farm inputs to farmers across the ten electoral wards in his Constituency.
They made the commendation on Wednesday, at Effiemgbabu country home of the speaker, during the 2026 fertilizer distribution to farmers in the area.

Paulinus Nwanchor, Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Engagement, Comrade Uchenna Nwanchor, APC Youth Leader in Ikwo Local Government Area,commended Speaker Odunwa for his performance and effective representation and assured of their support even the general election gets closer.
They called on the people to continue supporting the administration president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Francis Nwifuru speaker Odunwa, noting that they have done well to deserve re-election come 2027, noting that their re-election is application for more democratic dividends in the area.
Earlier, the Coordinator of Ikwo Central Development Centre, Hon. Sinbad Oboke, described the distribution of agricultural inputs as an annual initiative of Speaker Odunwa aimed at encouraging farming and improving agricultural productivity in the constituency.
He commended Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his inclusive approach to governance, particularly his attention to the needs of the people of Ikwo South, and reaffirmed the constituency’s support for both the Governor and Speaker Odunwa.
In their separate goodwill messages, the Traditional Ruler of Inyimegu Community, Eze Mgbebu Onwe; Traditional Ruler of Amagu Community, Eze Dominic Ibor Aloh; Traditional Ruler of Ndiegu Amagu Community, Eze Isaiah Otubo; a university don, Prof. Anthony Itumo; and the President-General of Amagu Community, Elder Hilary Igwe, commended Speaker Odunwa for the initiative and pledged their continued support for his leadership.
Similarly, Mr. Chineme Omu, who spoke on behalf of the Odunwa Ward Coordinators, and Hon. Regina Itumo, who represented the women, applauded the gesture and expressed their commitment to the Speaker’s re-election in 2027.
Addressing the gathering, Speaker Odunwa expressed appreciation to the people of Ikwo South for their continued support and solidarity. He urged them to sustain their support for the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections.
He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and responsive leadership, stressing that the welfare and development of the people remain central to his legislative responsibilities.
The Speaker also expressed concern over the poor condition of roads in some parts of Ikwo Local Government Area, assuring the people that he would intensify efforts towards drawing the attention of the appropriate authorities to the challenges and advocating for lasting solutions.
According to him, the fertiliser distribution was aimed at strengthening agricultural activities and contributing to food sufficiency in Ikwo South. He urged the beneficiaries to use the farm inputs for their intended purpose and cautioned them against selling them.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Mr. Albert Nwanyigor and Mrs. Ogwa Cynthia, expressed gratitude to the Speaker for the gesture and promised to put the fertiliser to productive use.
Over two hundred and fifty bags of fertilizer and undisclosed sum of money were distributed and disbursed to the constituents by the speaker.
