AHEB Endorses Nwifuru For Second Term: Rallies Support For Him Ahead Of 2027


The Association of Hospitality
 Establishments, Ebonyi State (AHEB), has endorsed the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Bldr. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for a second term in office.

The endorsement was made during a gathering of members of the association held at the International Conference Centre, Abakaliki.
The event brought together the Honourable Commissioner for Ebonyi State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Prince Stanley  Ifanyi Ogbuewu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Kamani Nnamdi GSG, JP; the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Martina Obiya; the Chairman of the Association of Hospitality Establishments, Ebonyi State, Comrade John Onyibe Chukwudi; management and staff of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism; as well as owners and operators of hotels and guest houses across the State.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of AHEB, Comrade Onyibe John Chukwudi, commended the landmark achievements of Governor Nwifuru, describing his administration as one that has demonstrated commitment to the development of Ebonyi State.

He stated that the decision to endorse the Governor was collectively reached by hotel and guest house owners across the State, who, according to him, have resolved to identify with and support the Governor's leadership under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Comrade Onyibe further declared the association's commitment to supporting the administration and called on its members to align with the political direction of the Governor.

Also speaking, the Legal Adviser to the association, Barr. Chukwuma Ekumankama, formally moved a motion for the adoption and endorsement of Governor Nwifuru for a second term, citing the achievements recorded by his administration.
The motion was seconded by the Vice Chairman of the association, Udeagbara James, and was unanimously supported by members present.
Responding, the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Prince Stanley Ifanyi Ogbuewu welcomed the association's initiative and commended its members for organizing the endorsement programme.

He noted that the Governor would be pleased with the gesture, stressing that the hospitality industry remains an integral component of tourism development in the State.

The Commissioner also highlighted efforts by the present administration to regulate the hospitality sector and address the excesses associated with illegal taxation and multiple tax collection, assuring members of the government's continued support.
He further announced that Ebonyi State would host the World Tourism Day celebration in September 2026,
 describing it as another opportunity to showcase the State's tourism potential to the world.
In his remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Culture and Tourism, Hon. Kamani Nnamdi GSG, JP, appreciated the association for its support and assured members that they would not suffer any loss as a result of organizing the endorsement programme.

The event ended with road  work by the association, awards of adoption for second term and renewed assurances of collaboration between the Ebonyi State Government and stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism sector.
