The Tinubu Presidential Ambassadors of Nigeria and Diaspora (TPAND) has appointed prominent Nigerian politician, academic and researcher, Hon. Dr. Abdulhakeem Bukola Babake Bello, as its new Secretary General, in a move to strengthen the organization's leadership structure across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Director General of TPAND, Engr. Yusuf Hussain, presented the official appointment letter to Dr. Bello formally inaugurated him as Secretary General in the presence of members of the National Executive Council, state executives, diaspora representatives, and other stakeholders.
Bello, a former All Progressives Congress Chairmanship aspirant, Abuja Municipal Area Council is expected to bring administrative excellence, strategic coordination, intellectual and political depth to the affairs of TPAND.
Speaking shortly after receiving his appointment letter, Dr. Bello expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God and thanked the Director General, the National Executive Council, and members of the organisation for the confidence reposed in him.
He further pledged to strengthen the administrative and operational framework of TPAND through effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.
Describing TPAND as a platform that unites patriotic Nigerians at home and abroad in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Dr. Bello said the organisation's mission extends beyond political advocacy to promoting national unity, civic responsibility, responsible leadership, and active citizen participation in nation-building.
"As Secretary General, I will work closely with the Director General, members of the National Executive Council, our state executives, and diaspora chapters to strengthen the structures of TPAND and improve our effectiveness across Nigeria and around the world," he stated.
The newly inaugurated Secretary General also appealed to members across the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, and the diaspora to remain united and committed to the collective vision of the organisation.
According to him, "the strength of any organisation lies in its unity," urging members to place the organisation's objectives above personal interests while working together with discipline, mutual respect, and patriotism.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director General, Engr. Yusuf Hussain, congratulated Dr. Bello on his appointment and expressed confidence in his capacity to provide effective administrative leadership for the organisation. He urged the new Secretary General to deploy his academic experience, leadership qualities, professional expertise, and extensive network of relationships in Nigeria and the diaspora towards advancing TPAND's vision and strengthening its structures nationwide and internationally.
The DG described Dr. Bello as a reputable member with strategic networks within the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and among influential Nigerian stakeholders in the diaspora.
