Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has expressed satisfaction with the perfomerces of Ikwo development center coordinator, Apostle Emmanuel Mbam Agu, noting that he has carried out Impactful projects that has direct bearing on the people of the development center.
The governor stated on Thursday, at idembia Enyibuchi, headquarters of Ikwo East development center, during an accountability tour of development centers in the state.
The governor who was represented by the Commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, Chief Stephen Uchenna Igwe explained that the essence of the tour was to establish how the funds so far released to the DC were effectively utilized.
He also said that the state government wants to assertain the level of relationship between the coordinator and party stakeholders in the DC, and to ensure that the coordinator carries the management committee members along in the running of the development center.
He called on the people of the development to continue supporting the administration of RT Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to continue the delivery of his People's charter of needs to the people especially, the rural areas.
Earlier in his address, the Coordinator, Ikwo East Development center, Apostle Emmanuel Mbam said, he decided to embark on numerous projects to debunk the misconception making rounds that Development centers are conduit pipe used to cyphone funds ment for the development of grassroot in the state.
Apostle Mbam enumerated some of the projects executed by his administration to include, roofing of the dilapidated structure of the development center, construction of mega bridge at Onyikwa village in ndufu Alike community, grading of roads from Elegu Enyim Chukwuma village to Elegu Ohankwu Health center, drilling of motorized solar powered borehole at Ndieguazu Ohankwu, another solar powered motorized borehole with overhead tank at Ebianji Noyo,, FUNAI Back gate and another solar powered motorized borehole sited at ,Echialike primary school. Other projects according to the coordinator included the construction of culvert at Edukwu Obuovu
Enyibichri community, road construction at Ndieguazu Enyibichiri, dredging of Ohatekwe community water dam for irrigation purposes, donation of generator, computer set,printer and photocopying machine to Noyo Divisional Police station, distribution of eight numbers of motorcycle to management committee members and donation of a set of school band to Community secondary school, idembia among other numerous projects.
He commended the governor's reolv in ensuring that dividends of democracy is spread across the nooks and crannies of the state especially at the grassroot and assured him that, as his lieutenant at the grassroot, he will not disappoint him but will rather work hard to step down the People's Charter of needs mantra of his administration to the people at the hinter land.
Mbam, enjoined his people to come up with ideas and various needs of their communities as he is willing to deploy the resources of the Development center for the development of the area.
He warned the Youths against engaging in cyber bullying of the governor and other leaders of the area.
They were good will messages from Stakeholders of the Development center such Chief Celestine Nwele, Chief Sunday Nwegbe, Chief Godwin Mbam, Hon. Dockland Ovuna among others, commended the harmonious relationship existing between the coordinator and stakeholders in the Area. They assured the governor of their unflinching support towards his re-election come 2027, echoing 4+4 =8.
