2027: Women Group Backs Tinubu, Nwifuru Re-Election Bid

A formidable grassroots political movement, Nigeria Women for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, Ebonyi State Chapter, has formally declared its unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The declaration was made on Thursday during a courtesy visit to the Ebonyi State APC Secretariat in Abakaliki, where the group, led by the wife of the Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Chief (Mrs.) Mary Chinedu Ogah, met with the State Chairman of the APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the State Coordinator, Dr. Mrs. Uchenna Charles Nweke, stated that the organisation was established to mobilise massive grassroots support for President Tinubu, Governor Nwifuru, and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

According to her, the Tinubu and Nwifuru administrations have recorded significant achievements in governance, infrastructure development, economic reforms, and people-oriented policies, thereby earning the confidence and support of the electorate for a second term.

She disclosed that the group has structures across the 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, and all 171 wards in Ebonyi State, with a clear mandate to drive voter mobilisation and strengthen APC’s electoral fortunes.

“Our members are actively mobilising support from ward to ward, community to community, and household to household. We are fully committed to delivering overwhelming victories for President Tinubu, Governor Nwifuru, and all APC candidates in Ebonyi State come 2027,” she said.

Responding, Chief Emegha commended the group for its loyalty to APC and its commitment to the continuity and consolidation of the developmental strides being recorded under the current administration.

He reaffirmed the party’s readiness to collaborate with genuine support groups and grassroots stakeholders working towards the progress of Ebonyi State and the success of APC.

“The APC remains committed to partnering with individuals and groups dedicated to the advancement of our party and the development of Ebonyi State. Every genuine contribution towards the growth and success of the party will be duly recognised and appreciated,” Emegha stated.

The visit further underscores the growing momentum behind the APC’s 2027 re-election project and reflects the increasing grassroots endorsement of the Tinubu-Nwifuru leadership agenda across Ebonyi State.
