The youths of Ekpelu Ikwo Autonomous Community, on Saturday, 2nd May 2026, paid a strategic courtesy visit to Consensus Candidate and Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, at his Abakaliki residence, in a move that further consolidates grassroots support and campaign momentum ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the community leadership reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty, solidarity, and political alignment with the lawmaker, while commending his impactful interventions in the area, including; support for building of Nwanoyo Secondary school, provision of 500kv Transformer, bags of fertilizer, empowerment, employment, provision of solar streetlight, borehole, and other critical community-based projects. They appealed for sustained delivery of democratic dividends and pledged intensified grassroots mobilization, voter sensitization, and active participation within party and campaign structures.
The youths described Hon. Ogah as a unifying leader and bridge-builder whose people-centered representation has advanced peace, inclusive development, and youth empowerment across the constituency. They noted that his leadership has enhanced social cohesion, expanded opportunities, and strengthened political participation among young people.
In his response, the lawmaker expressed appreciation for the show of confidence, describing it as a validation of the growing acceptance of his leadership. He reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful representation, youth inclusion, and sustained development across Ikwo/Ezza South, while also calling for continued support for the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Governor of Ebonyi State.
The delegation was led by Comr. Obumneme Ukpai, alongside other youth stakeholders and community leaders. The visit underscores the strengthening grassroots base and strategic political alignment driving the Ogah mandate towards a successful 2027 electoral outing.
