NDC Resolves Leadership Impasse In Kano, Reaffirms Husani Isah Mai Riga As State Chairman

Following a brief disagreement within the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kano State Chapter, after the entry of the former Governor of Kano State and National Leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, the party’s national leadership has successfully intervened and restored unity.

Today, the party’s parent body under the leadership of Sen. Seriake Henry Dickson held a special meeting. The meeting was attended by Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso,Engr. Muhammad Sabo Bakin Zuwo Vice chairman Northwest, and their senior leaders of the party.

At the end of the deliberations, a resolution was reached affirming that Hon. Husaini Isah Mai Riga shall continue to serve as the Chairman of the NDC in Kano State.

This outcome demonstrates the depth of political experience and statesmanship of the Kwankwasiyya Leader, who played a pivotal role in resolving the matter amicably and preserving the unity of the party.

Hon. Husaini Isah Mai Riga has expressed his profound appreciation to the National Party Leader, Sen. Seriake Henry Dickson; Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; Engr. Muhammad Sabo Bakin Zuwo; and the entire people of Kano State for their love and support during this period.

He also extended an apology to those he may have offended in recent days and sought their forgiveness, describing the resolution as a reflection of the maturity and wisdom of the party’s leadership.

In closing, he offered prayers for Allah’s guidance and support for the NDC at all levels, for victory in the forthcoming elections, and for peace and progress for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
