The Giving to the Needies Mission Int’l, GINMI has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Dr. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director General of Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development Centre Abuja.
In a statement by the Chairman, BoT, Dr Reuben Uche Egwu, the organization described Laniyi as "a woman with exceptional leadership capacity, administrative competence, and commitment to national development".
Dr Egwu stated that the appointment "is also a clear reflection of the confidence reposed in you by the President and the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria".
Recalling the contributions the new Women Centre DG made in her earlier positions, Dr Uche remarked "Your impactful service as Mandate Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory remains indelibly etched in the hearts of many Nigerians, especially women, youths, and vulnerable groups whose lives were positively touched through your visionary initiatives, inclusive leadership style, and unwavering dedication to public service".
He continued "During your stewardship, you demonstrated uncommon passion for grassroots empowerment, social inclusion, and sustainable development, earning the admiration of stakeholders across political, social, and humanitarian circles".
He said the appointment offers room for greater collaboration among other social actors giving her proven competence even social sectors.
"As an organization committed to uplifting the less privileged and advancing humanitarian causes, Giving to the Needies Mission Int’l identifies strongly with your enduring advocacy for women empowerment, community development, and nation-building.
"Your appointment to lead the Women Development Centre Abuja is therefore a fitting recognition of your wealth of experience, integrity, and proven track record in public administration.
