Ebonyi NASS Member Commission Water Project In Ikwo: Announces Award Of Scholarship To 6 indigent Students

The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions Rt. Hon Chinedu Ogah, on Tuesday, commissioned two solar-powered motorized borehole projects at Ndiaguazu Ohankwu, Ndufu Alike, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The water projects which was facilitated by Apostle Emmanuel Mbam, the Coordinator of Ikwo East Development Center, as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to clean and potable water in the community.
Speaking during the commissioning, Mbam expressed deep appreciation to Rt. Hon. Ogah for his continuous support and leadership. He described the federal lawmaker as a visionary leader, a role model and a political rallying point in Ikwo, whose impactful representation continues to inspire grassroot development initiatives.

In his remarks, Ogah commended Apostle Mbam for his remarkable achievements and dedication to the welfare of the people. He noted that the provision of potable water is a vital intervention that directly improves the quality of life of rural dwellers.
He further applauded the Coordinator for aligning with the development agenda of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, particularly the “People’s Charter of Needs,” by replicating its objectives at the grassroots level.

Rt. Hon. Ogah also used the event to announce award of scholarship to four indigent School children and two Okada riders from Ndufu Alike in appreciation for their overwhelming support in previous elections. He equally pledged to commence the installation of solar powered street lights within a designated location within the community. 
Ogah called for sustained cooperation and reaffirmed his commitment to delivering effective and people-oriented representation.

The lawmaker also extended financial support to constituents and supporters who came out in large numbers to welcome him.

The event was attended by notable stakeholders,women groups, youth association, the academia, cultural groups among others.
