The Coordinator of Ikwo East Development center, Apostle Hon. Emmanuel Mbam Agu JP, has lauded the patriotic zeal of the leadership and members of Association of Ikwo Noyo Media Practitioners in championing the course of peace, unity and development of Ikwo, through their dialectical Radio Program (ODULENMA IKWO) and persuasive sensitization of youths against crises and other unhealthy practices in Ikwo.
Apostle Mbam, stated this on Wednesday, during a courtesy visit by the Association as part of synergy with leaders and Stakeholders of Ikwo.
He pledged to partner the Association in ensuring the actualization of her lofty objectives, noting that he derives joy in supporting any program geared towards sustainable peace and development in Ikwo.
The Coordinator used the visit to reel out some of achievements in Ikwo East Development center to include; sinking of motorized boreholes in the four wards that makes us the development center renovation of the Development Centre Secretariat, drilling and installation of solar powered motorized water boreholes in all the four Wards in Alike, grading of roads, training of selected youths in different skills, rehabilitation of a health centre in Ndufu Alike, construction of culverts among others.
Earlier, the President General of the Association, Comrade Israel Ekene Mbam, said the essence of the visit was to familiarize with the Coordinator, present the new leadership of the Association to him and bring to his knowledge some of the program of the Association, especially the Odulenma Ikwo radio program and the upcoming media summit.
Recall that ODULENMA IKWO radio program is a dialectical radio program of Ikwo Media Practioners which comes up every Friday between 7:00pm - 7:30pm on EBBC. The programme is primarily, for the promotion of peace,unity, development and cultural identities of Ikwo people.
