CHRISTMAS: Chinedu Ogah Foundation Distributes ₦200m Cash, 12 Trailers of Rice To Constituents

The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah OON, has called on the good people of Ikwo and Ezza-South Local Government Areas to continue supporting the leadership, initiatives, and exemplary governance of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Ogah, who also serves as Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, made the call during the 26th anniversary and annual Foundation Day celebration of Chinedu Ogah Foundation, held on December 26 at his Item Amagu Village residence in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, a date that has become a yearly post-Christmas tradition in the constituency.

At the event, the Foundation distributed ₦200 million in cash and twelve trailers of rice to constituents across the thirty-one (31) wards of Ikwo/Ezza-South Federal Constituency. The large-scale empowerment initiative benefited thousands of households, ensuring that families shared in the joy of the Christmas season.
The federal lawmaker further disclosed that a more comprehensive empowerment programme is scheduled for March 2026, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to sustainable constituency development.

In his address, Hon Ogah commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that his interventions align with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, as well as the development vision of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.

He stated that his constituency programmes are deliberately aligned with the Governor’s “People’s Charter of Needs” mantra and urged constituents to continue supporting the state government, describing the Governor’s leadership as people-oriented, inclusive, and impactful.
The Chairman of the occasion, Comrade Emmanuel Chukwu, a Director with the Nigerian Aviation Authority (Lagos Branch), praised Rep. Ogah for consistently translating government policies into tangible grassroots benefits.

“From day one, Hon. Ogah has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy in line with the People’s Charter of Needs,” Comrade Chukwu stated.

Other speakers at the event, including Dr. Donatus Ilang, Chief Oguzor Offia-Nwali, and Hon. Humphrey Nwuruku, former Chief Whip of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, expressed amazement at the massive turnout, describing it as a clear demonstration of the love and trust the people have for Hon. Ogah.
They commended the lawmaker for remaining steadfast in prioritizing the welfare of his constituents, regardless of criticism or ingratitude from some quarters.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, Hon. Ogah expressed deep appreciation to constituents and invited guests for honoring the annual Foundation Day celebration.

“This Foundation Day is about sharing Christmas joy with our people through food and financial support,” he said. “Our empowerment efforts will continue, and by March 2026, we will roll out an even bigger programme.”
Over the years, Chinedu Ogah Foundation Day has grown into a unifying and eagerly anticipated annual event, blending charity, culture, and community service.

The success of the 2025/2026 celebration further strengthens the bond between Rep. Ogah and his constituents and underscores his reputation for impactful representation and grassroots empowerment in Ebonyi State.

The distribution exercise was conducted peacefully and in an orderly manner, with beneficiaries drawn from all 31 wards of the constituency.
The event attracted a large gathering of dignitaries from across the state and beyond, reflecting the significance of the initiative. Notable personalities present included; Rt. Hon. Chinedu Onah, Deputy Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nkemka Onuma Okoro, Member representing Ohaukwu South Constituency, Chief Donatus Ilang, Honourable Commissioner for Education, Hon. Oguzor Offia-Nwali (JP), Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Humphrey Nwuruku – Former Chief Whip, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, APC leadership, represented by the Deputy State Chairman, Hon. Chinedu Nwali, Support groups, youth associations, and cultural organizations, among others.
