Ahead of the August 2026 Local Government election in the state, the Ebonyi State APC Woman Leader, Mrs Quindaline Nwigwe has called on the women to come out in their numbers and contest for chairmanship and councilorship seats.
The APC Woman Leader made the call when she received members of "Women with One Voice" Ebonyi State Chapter, who was led by their leader, Mrs Elizabeth Nwogbaga, on a courtesy call to her office, the new APC Secretariat, Abakaliki.
'Women with one voice' is a League of Women who support good governance and have decided to partner with the APC to support the good works of Governor Francis Nwifuru and his reelection come 2027 to consolidate on the good works he has started for Ebonyi people.
Mrs Nwigwe enjoined them to continue in their effort in the promotion of the Good works of the Leader of the party and his wife through the People's Charter of Needs and Berwo, and by extension the Renewed Hope Agenda which crowns the effort the Governor is making in the state
She educated them on the importance of supporting the APC by being part of the sensitisation of voter registration and revalidation alongside the party registration.
She thanked them for being true Ebonyians and good representatives of women in Leadership and emphasised competence, good conduct, transparency and inclusivity on the part of every member of the Organisation, reminding them that as woman leader of the ruling Party in the state, she has been raising her voice for more women to be accommodated at the table of Leadership, and urged to be ready to deliver on quality representation and live up to the course Nigerian women in Leadership are championing.
Similarly, she also played host to members of the Home Builders Association, a Non-Governmental organisation that aims to promote the home front, with an emphasis on raising family values and a better society.
The leader of the group, Mrs Flora Onyema, said they came to partner with the party in promoting the good works of the Leader of the party in the state, GovernorFrancis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and his amiable wife.
The State APC woman leader, emphasised the need to embrace the people's charter of needs manifesto, the purpose of Berwo and the manifesto of our great party, the APC.
She encouraged them to be good ambassadors of the group leaning on its purpose and that of women in Leadership, that every woman's current representation is a scorecard of how the next woman will be accommodated in the field of leadership and governance..
