The All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) has dismissed recent propaganda efforts by opposition elements in Anambra State as futile and childish and disclosed that it will be fatal for Ndi Anambra to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC in the November 8 Governorship election in the state.
National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors, Chinedu Obigwe in a statement, described attempts to discredit Governor Charles Soludo as “akin to pouring water on a stone.”
According to Obigwe, Anambra electorate view the opposition as “fools at forty who remain fools forever,” noting that their only strategy for the upcoming November 8th governorship election is baseless blackmail.
“Ironically, the propaganda being peddled against Governor Soludo’s administration is senseless and devoid of substance,” “Such childish antics cannot deceive voters into making the suicidal mistake of electing a candidate like Ukachukwu.
He specifically criticized a recently circulated video showing Governor Soludo’s convoy navigating a damaged section of the Enugu-Otu road, mockingly tagged “Enugu-Otu Dubai Taiwan” by opposition figures.
Another video featured a white bus stuck on the same road, being pushed by bystanders.
“My investigation reveals that the video originated from Ruth Esodo and was deliberately spread to deceive the gullible,” “But again, it amounts to nothing, it’s like bathing a stone. Such propaganda will not tarnish Soludo’s reputation or derail his commitment.
Obigwe went on to detail the strides Governor Soludo has made in the Enugu-Otu Aguleri road project, which he described as a significant intervention in a previously inaccessible region.
“The communities of Enugu-Otu, Mkpunando, and Eziagulu Otu Aguleri will remain eternally grateful to Governor Soludo for the ongoing 28.1km access road project. For years, these areas were only accessible via the Ayamelum route. Going through Aguleri was deemed impossible—until Soludo took up the challenge.”
He stated that due to the difficult, water-logged terrain, constructing 1km of road in the area could cost as much as building 5km elsewhere in Anambra. Despite that, Soludo has committed substantial resources to the project, currently being executed in three phases. The first phase, covering 8.1km, is reportedly 95% completed with a stone base already laid.
Obigwe also highlighted Governor Soludo’s decision to personally drive to Enugu-Otu to inspect the project and commission a newly constructed general hospital in the area.
“While some governors would have flown by helicopter, Soludo chose to drive through the challenging terrain to get a firsthand experience of what the people face. That alone speaks volumes about his empathy and leadership.”he added.
He shared a personal anecdote, noting that he rarely visits his maternal home in Eziagulu Otu due to the poor road conditions a situation he says Soludo is now correcting.
“The second and third phases of the road have already been graded, and despite the rainy season making parts of the road difficult, Soludo braved it. That’s the kind of leadership that wins hearts.” obigwe said.
Obigwe praised the governor’s decision to build a general hospital in Enugu-Otu—a gesture he says was made not upon request, but from Soludo’s own sense of responsibility.
“On his first visit through Ayamelum, the governor saw the desperate need for healthcare infrastructure and immediately initiated the hospital project. Today, it’s a reality.” he said.
He reiterated that Governor Soludo is on a “divine mission” in Anambra, and that his development-oriented governance is being recognized and appreciated by the people.
“As it stands, the entire stretch of the 28.1km road is now accessible via Aguleri. Once the first phase is completed, the second and third phases will follow. Governor Soludo has made it clear—he will not abandon any project.” he added.
Obigwe challenged opposition candidate Nicholas Ukachukwu to demonstrate similar commitment, rather than relying on “disgruntled propagandists.”
“Let Ukachukwu attempt the same journey Soludo made. Until then, his media attacks remain hollow. Governor Soludo governs with empathy,he feels the people’s pain and works to relieve it.” “Come November 8th, vote for Governor Soludo—the one and only Oluatuegwu I of Anambra State—for the continued transformation of our dear state.” he added.
