The commissioner made the call during inspection of five mini bridges under construction in Ukwagba community. Dr Ilang noted that that the inspection was part of the efforts of the state Government to implement the decision reached with the stakeholders and leadership of Ukwagba community which includes among other things _addressing the allegation of embezzlement and mismanagement of resources accruing from forest reserve (Effia Ukwagba) by the previous administrations of the community and to ensure that viable and quality projects are executed with the community monies in Ukwagba community .
The Conflict Resolution boss while commending the president /Executive of Ukwagba central council, traditional Ruler and cabinet members of the Community noted that the bridges when completed will boost the economy of Ukwagba and other neighbouring Communities . He further eulogized the stakeholders / leadership of Ukwagba in diaspora for their concerns in the community affairs and expressed optimisim that Ukwagba will witness tremendous development
He further charged the leadership of the community to champion the security and peace of the community as enshrined in the charter of Needs of Rt Hon Bulider Ogbonnaya Nwifuru the Governor of Ebonyi State.
Earlier the president of Ukwagba central council chief Goodwin Awoke while conducting the Commissioner and his team around the mini bridges under construction noted that the projects was selected in an enlarged stakeholders meeting and that the 5 mini bridges were located in 5 villages linking other neighbouring villages of the community
The traditional Ruler of the community ,HRH Eze Fredrick Oge Omeh said that the Community selected the bridges as a priority projects and thanked the Governor of Ebonyi State for providing effective leadership and the commissioner for supervision of the projects and mitigation of conflicts that erupts in the community.
A stakeholder and a member of Ebonyi State Board of internal revenue Hon chidi Elechi describes the supervision as a right step in the right direction as it has form the basis of transparent and effective leadership in Ukwagba community. He thanked the State Government for coming to their aids and fuher calls for more Government dividends especially in the areas of construction and gradings of rural roads in the Community
Projects inspected includes Oshianene bridge linking Uzor Oshishi Villages,. Nwaogu mini bridge located at Obomalegu Ukwagba Village, Nwaocheja mini bridge linking Aguachi and Obomalegu Ukwagba Villages, Nwaogbirigba mini bridge linking Okpochiri and Oyerigwe villages and Nwaokabe mini bridge located at Oshariji Ukwagba.
