LEADERSHIP: Ikwo Council Boss Inaugurates ECDA Caretaker Committee

At the twilight of today Monday 8th April, 2024., the Executive Chairman of Ikwo LGA Hon. Barr Sunday Basil Nwankwo inaugurated a five man caretaker committee for Ekawoke Community Development Association (ECDA). Tje event was held at the council headquarters, Onuebonyi Echara. 

The chairman during the inauguration, charged the committee with the task of overseeing the affairs of the community. He advised them to discharge their duties inline with the provision of the constitution of the Association, ensuring that peace is sustained in the community. "Like I said when I constituted this committee, you have six months to pilot the affairs of Ekawoke community and thereafter, there shall be a fresh election. You must take the welfare of the community as your utmost priority and ensure that there's lasting peace in every nooks and crannies of the community" he maintained. 

He charged them to shun any form of violence stirring in the area and remain steadfast in the discharge of their constitutional duties. 

In his acceptance speech, the chairman of the committee, Chief Ewah Nworie commended the Council Chairman for his proactive approach to the menace that almost engulfed the community. He pledged to work with other members of the committee and stakeholders of the community to ensure that peace is sustained in Ekawoke community, adding that the intervention of the executive Chairman of the Council, Barr Sunday Nwankwo has not only saved the people of the community from interpersonal misunderstanding, but also restored an unimaginable peace in the area.

b) Hon.  Joseph Ngwuta - Member 
c) Hon. Nwoku Timothy  - Member 
d) Ncham Monday - Member.
