The good People of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community on Thursday, 28th March ,2024 formally presented their newly Coronated Traditional Ruler, Eze Agom-Ugbala 11, HRH, Amb. Chief Francis Igwe to the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr Sunday Nwankwo at the Council Headquarters - Onuebonyi Echara.
The President General, Ndufu Alike Development Union, Mr. Chibuike Igwe while presenting the Newly Coronated Traditional Ruler Ruler, HRH (Amb) Francis Eze Igwe,(Eze Agom-Ugbala 11) before the Council Chairman, Barr Sunday Nwankwo thanked him for the role he played to ensure they had a successful election and coronation of their Traditional Ruler. He said, "the good people of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community will continue to show more solidarity to your administration at the local government level and that of His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru at the state level".
In his remarks, the Ikwo Local Government Chairman, Barr Sunday Nwankwo congratulated the people of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community for a successful coronation of their Traditional Ruler, HRH AMB. Eze Francis Igwe. He promised that the Council will synergize with the Traditional Ruler to offer partnership that will be progressive and beneficial to every son and daughter of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community.
The Council Chairman charged the newly Coronated Traditional Ruler of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community to sustain those ideals that would promote peaceful co-existence in their areas of jurisdiction.
"First and foremost, let me congratulate you people for the successful coronation of your Traditional Ruler, HRH, (Amb.) Francis Eze Igwe. It is s on this note that I hereby accept your Traditional Ruler as you formally present him before me today.
"Your Highness, congratulations Sir!
Looking at your antecedents, we have no doubt that you will lead your people to the desired destination. We urge you to help Alike people to accomplish the task ahead, and I know as always, you will be available for them.
"This council will synergize with you to serve your people. We will offer partnership that will be progressive and futuristic. And we will always be available whenever you need us.
"Also, we want to request that you help the council to take the message of peace to your area.We will offer all measures to make sure that the place remains quiet and peaceful the way it is now, and to ensure that no matter that comes to the palace will remain unresolved."
Responding, the newly Coronated Traditional Ruler of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community,HRH , Amb Francis Eze Igwe appreciated the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru and the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr Sunday Nwankwo for providing an enabling environment and their love for tradition institutions in the state. He said that his reign will anchor more on the policies and programs that will foster more peaceful relationships and bring more unity in Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community and its environs.
In a vote of thanks, the former Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area and Chairman of the coronation Committee of the Eze elect, Hon. David Onuoha extolled the Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr Sunday Nwankwo for his unrelenting efforts that made the coronation a successful story. He said the community will rally round the newly crowned Traditional Ruler to ensure he delivers on the mandate the people of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community bestowed on him.
The event witnessed some sons and daughters of Ndufu Alike Autonomous Community and some principal officers of the Council.
