The Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr Sunday Nwankwo in early hours of Monday,18th March,2024 inaugurated a joint security Committee that will combat all forms of crimes within the corners of the Alex Ekwume Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo.
The Council Boss charged the Committee to use their initiatives and apply all forms of security apparatus to make AE-FUNAI and it's environs a crime free Area. He enjoined the Committee to work with the landlords and profile all the occupants of the various lodges in the AE-FUNAI environment.
"Last week ,we visited the Vice Chancellor, Alex Ekwume Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo, and one of the things I made known to the management and the students of the university was to form a joint security Committee that will help to curtail all forms of crimes within the area.
"I charge you to be committed in discharging your duties, and work with all the landlords to profile all the occupants of the various lodges within and outside the school environment".
The joint Security Committee is to be headed by the National President, Ndufu Alike Development Union,Mr. Chibuike Igwe (Coded) while the Chief Security officer of the Alex Ekwume Federal University, Mr. Emeka Ogah to serve as the Co Chairman and O/C DSS, Mr.B. Eze as the Clerk of the Committee.

The inauguration was witnessed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on internal security,Hon. Edeke Desmond and the Vice Chairman, Ikwo Local Government Area,Hon.Mrs Chinasa Itumo.
