Ikwo Council Chair Signs 2024 Budget Into Law

Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr. Sunday Nwankwo  on Saturday, signed into law, the 2024 appropriation bill of Six Billion three hundred and forty-three million four hundred and sixty-five thousands four hundred and thirty one naira ninety eight kobo (#6,343,465,431.98).

The event took place at the council headquarters Onuebonyi Echara, following its successful passage by Ikwo Legislative Council led by Mr Stephen Nwukwu. The Budget is tagged ‘BUDGET OF CONTINUITY AND CONSOLIDATION OF THE PEOPLES CHARTER OF NEEDS” 
The historic event was graced by the distinguished presence of key stakeholders, including the Leader of the Ikwo Legislative Council Hon. Stephen Nwukwu, the Deputy Leader, and other major Stakeholders and clerks of the Ikwo Legislative Council among others.


The signing ceremony marks a significant milestone in the Council's commitment to transparent governance and effective fiscal management. The collaborative efforts of the legislative and executive arms underscored the dedication to advancing the welfare and development of the people of Ikwo Noyo people under the Peoples Charter of Needs of the State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Builder Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, Governor Ebonyi state.
