It was a glamourouse event on Thursday, 16th day of November, 2023 at the NUJ press Center, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State as the Nigeria Union of journalist NUJ Ebonyi State council, bestowed award excellence to Distinguished and deserving personalities who has made imprints in their various fields of endeavors, Prominent among the awardees is a Business Mogul and a born- philanthropist, Sir, Chief Survey Kingsley Nwuruku, MNIS, KSM, CEO,KINBOTOS , whose philanthropic gestures had brought succor to the dontroden, widows, orphans and the likes in the society was bestowed with the award of 'philanthropic man of the year'.
Presenting the Award to him, the chairman of NUJ, Abia State council, Comrade Victor Ndukwe Congratulated the awardee for meriting NUJ award, stressing that NUJ award is not for sale but purely on merit. He enjoined him to remain steadfast in bettering the lots of the indigent one's in the society.
On his part, the award recipient, Sir Kingsley Nwuruku, thanked the NUJ for honouring him with the award, promising to continue on the things that brought the award to him. He was represented by Engr Linus Nwachukwu.
Recall that the philanthropic gestures of Sit Kingsley Nwuruku has earned him laurels, chieftaincy titles both within and outside the state, one of it is AkUENWE EBE 1 OF IKWO NOYO, bestowed on him by the people of Ekpelu, the Ancestoral home of Ikwo noyo clan.
