The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has called on the appointees of state Governor to work hard to justify the trust, the state Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru reposed in them.
Chief Emegha gave the charge on Monday, in his office during a courtesy call on him by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth mobilization, Ebonyi South Barr. Agwu Dick Dike and some selected youths from South.
He noted that the Governor is passionate about the betterment and well-being of the people of the state, hence he appointed them to help him build a better society for the people of the state.
Chief Emegha enjoined him to think outside the box and development programs to support the governor's people charter of need in the area of Youth development.
"The governor have assembled you to help him and build a better society for all of us and the unborn generation. I want to call on all of you to justify that trust the governor has bestowed on you.
Put in your best in the area you have been appointed to, because if you fail to work hard the reason for appointing you will be defeated and you may not be recommended for higher position. Our Governor, His Excellency Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is not interested in pleasure. His interested in what he will do to improve the living standard of our people. I urge you to toe that path so that posterity will judge you correctly. Your aspiration should be to grow higher from where you are now, and nothing stops you from doing that. It is what you put in that you will get. If you put lousiness, well, after two years, you will be dropped, but if you put in hard work, you will migrate to another level while another person will come to where you are now.
"I must thank you people for coming. Go and initiate a program for yourself, that is the creativity and I assure you of my support", he concluded.
Earlier in his speech, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth mobilization, Ebonyi South, Barr. Agwu Dick Dike, praised the leadership prowess of the Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, which he said, culminated in the overwhelming victory of the party in the state.
He said, they were in his office to appreciate the Chairman for his role in recommending Edda sons in position of trust in the Government of His Excellency Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and to solicit his support in fighting illicit drug abuse and use among the youths in Edda. He decried the negative blow it has dealt with the Youths in the area.
The chairman assured him of his support to any policy towards the betterment of Ebonyi people, noting that the state Government under the youth-centered Governor, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is fully committed to the well-being of the people, especially the youths.
