The Executive Chairman of Ezza North Local Government Area, Chief Moses Ogodo Ali Nome has assured that his local Government will the Governor's Cup trophy.
Ogodo Ali, who is also the Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) in Ebonyi State, gave the assurance on Wednesday shortly after his boys defeated his Ivo counterpart in their second group match of the ongoing Ebonyi Governor's Cup.
He said, his boys has put in their best which has given them the victory.
"We played the champion of the last season and draw and the people today is the champion of the group is expected we defeat them and we have defeated them".
Chief Nome revealed that adequate training and commitment of the players remains the magic wand that gave them the victory, stressing that nothing short of the trophy is expected from his boys.
"The magic is that the boys are trained and they indigen and are committed. They are people from Ezza North and they give their best to make sure they defend their father land.
"Carrying the trophy is our utmost expectation. We will go home with the trophy. We are the winner of the trophy, watch it", he concluded.
He commended governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for approving the tonnerment, noting that such competition will help scout for talent that will play in different parts of the world.
