Ikwo Council Chair Lauds Gov Nwifuru's Move To Entrench Equity, All-inclusive Governance In Ebonyi

The Executive Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr Sunday Nwankwo has applauded the state Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for putting up measures to entrench equity and inclusiveness in his administration.
Barr Nwankwo made this known on Friday, at the council headquarters, Onu-Ebonyi Echara while playing host to the State appointment review committee who were in the council Area to recieve inputs and interact with stakeholders and leaders regarding the spread of appointments made so far by the state Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, across the two electoral wards in the council Area.
In his opening remarks, the Council Chairman, Barr. Sunday Nwankwo welcomed the State Appointment Review Committee led by Hon. Peter Nworie and thanked His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State,Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for appointing sons and daughters of Ikwo Noyo Clan into various political positions. He noted; that he has confident that  before and after the Committee might have done with their assignment, more appointments will come to Ikwo Local Government Area.
"I welcome you all to this very important meeting . We are here to interact with the Ebonyi State Appointment Review Committee send by the Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to look into the appointments done so far in Ikwo Local Government Area.
"First, let me thank our in-law, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for the appointment he has done so far across the 20 electoral wards in Ikwo. We appreciate him too because he has given us sense of belonging by sending his appointment Review Committee  who are here today to take note of some of our challenges regarding appointments done so far in Ikwo.

"When we do review, we move to another level. It's only a Government who's responsive and works for the better interest of people can do this.

"like Oliver Twist : We thank you your Excellency and we are asking for more".
While addressing the Stakeholders of Ikwo, the Chairman of the Appointment Review Committee, Hon. Peter Nworie said that they were in Ikwo LGA to commend the good people of Ikwo for their exceptional role played during the 2023 General Election that produced Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru as Governor.  The Committee Chairman noted that their meeting with the Stakeholders of Ikwo is to review the appointments done so far in Ikwo and report back to the Governor.

"We bring greetings from His Excellency,the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru to the good people of Ikwo.

"First is to thank the good people of Ikwo, second is to review the appointments done so far in the various wards and report back to His Excellency the Governor".

Highpoint of the meeting were Ward by Ward review of the appointments with the Stakeholders of the 20 electoral wards of Ikwo Local Government Area  by the Ebonyi State Appointment Review Committee.
The meeting had in attendance the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly,Rt. Hon. Moses Ije Odunwa,The Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Barr Sunday Nwankwo, the member representing Ikwo North State Constituency, Hon. Ifeanyi Nwakpu , the Commissioner for Border Peace,Dr. Donatus Ilang , the Special Assistant to the Governor on Security,Hon. Edeke Desmond ,the special Assistant to the Governor on Solid minerals,Hon. Jideofor Okorie, the former Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Emergency management and Immediate Past Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area, Elder Stephen Orogwu, the Vice chairman of Ikwo Local Government Area,Hon. Mrs Chinasa Itumo , the Former Special Assistant to the Governor on Airport and infrastructure,Hon. Onyekachi Nwoba, the, leader Ikwo Legislative Council,Hon. Stephen Nwukwu among others.
