Gov. Nwifuru, Others Pay Last Respect To Late Anyim Ude

Governor Francis Nwifuru has announced the desire of his administration to complete the construction of the untarred section of the road leading to Presbyterian Church Iyioji in Ivo Local Government Area before the end of the year.

Governor Nwifuru made the commitment while presenting his condolence message during the internment of the former Chairman, Senate Committee on Aviation, Elder Anyim Ude on Friday.

The Governor said he would construct the road to honour late Senator Anyim Ude for his contributions to the creation and development of Ebonyi State.

While paying glowing tributes to the late sage for living righteously, Governor Nwifuru called on his Children to hold on to his good legacies.

"Life is not what someone will just get up and define but the way you live your own will definitely manifest before your departure, your father lived a life worthy of emulation and so I urge you to strive to follow the footsteps of your late father."

The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio represented by the immediate past Governor of the State,Senator David Nweze Umahi lauded late Senator Anyim Ude for all he did in the National Assembly as Chairman Committee on Aviation and prayed God to judge him fairly.

Other Speakers, former Military Administrator, Walter Feghabor, former Governors Sam Egwu and Martin Elechi eulogized late Senator Anyim Ude for his exceptional disposition to justice and fairness while alive and prayed for his peaceful repose in heaven.

Late Senator Anyim Ude who represented Ebonyi South Senatorial Zone died at the age of 82 years.
