Ebonyi State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha says nobody will be allowed to wallow in the street of joblessness and penury under the administration of Governor Francis Nwifuru.
The State party Chairman, Chief Emegha made the disclosure while disbursing thousands of Naira to not less than 30 persons in Afikpo South Local Government Area to help strengthen their source of livelihoods and shield them from the present economic realities.
Disbursing the grant, the State APC Boss said the empowerment was powered by the office of the State Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru in conjunction with O. Emegha Foundation to address youth restiveness, poverty and rural urban migration.
Chief Emegha further eulogized Governor Nwifuru who in less than two months in office has approved the recruitment of almost 2,000 people into the state civil service stressing that the salary increment for workers will further less their financial burden.
"The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Right Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has performed creditably through his people's oriented policies and programs. He is the only Governor in the entire federation who has lifted the ban on employment and also increased workers salaries without complaining. Our amiable father has done exceptionally great".
"My Boss, Right Honourable Nwifuru is nothing but a Godsent Governor who is committed to consistently put smiles on the faces of Ebonyi people. In his words 'no Ebonyi man or woman will be allowed to wallow in the street of joblessness and penury under my watch'. He has clearly demonstrated this and the people are proud of him and his sterling achievements.
Chief Emegha who further spoke on the imperative of being financially independent as a safe bet to fighting crimes among the people, reiterated the decision and readiness of Governor Nwifuru to make parts of the state economically viable and self sustaining under a tranquil atmosphere. He urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the resources at their disposals.
"The purpose of giving you this financial support at this time is to enable you expand your businesses while some of you who have only one stream of income can go into other ventures".
"The administration of His Excellency the Governor, Right Honourable Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is determined and prepared to take all Ebonyians out of abject poverty at all cost".
"The Governor wants everyone to be meaningfully engaged and by so doing poverty and crime will be drastically reduced if not totally eradicated. He is committed to delivering the Ebonyi of our collective dream to us. Let's support this visionary leader".
Some of the beneficiaries said they were not surprise because their benefactors are not the kind of politicians who patronise them with trifling gifts only during electioneering periods. They prayed that God should bless and guide them.
