The wife of the Governor, Ebonyi state Chief Mrs Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru joined her counterparts in the country to pay a courtesy visit to the wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen Oluremi Tinubu. The meeting was held on Friday 14th July, 2023 at the Aso Villa, Abuja and had in attendance the wives of Governors of the 36 states in Nigeria.
Speaking to the First ladies, the wife of the President Mrs Tinubu congratulated all first ladies on the successful conduct of the 2023 election. She further urged them to diligently use their positions to touch lives in their various states while keeping to campaign promises.
The First Lady told the 36 state governors wives that their support is required in order to reach every nook and cranny of the country through the Renewed Hope Initiative which is her pet project. Mrs Tinubu assured the governors’ wives that the Renewed Hope Initiative will not interfere with their personal programmes and projects, adding that their support would be impactful.
The wives of the Governors assured Mrs Tinubu of their willingness and support to the Renewed Hope Initiative as they would go back and elect zonal coordinators to ensure that the grassroots are reached.
