Ebonyi Gov's Wife Recieves NAPTIP; Declares War Against Child Trafficking, Abuse

In her efforts to ensure the safety and future of Women, and children in the state, wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru has reiterated her avowed commitment to continue to work with relevant agencies to end Child Trafficking and other forms of Child Abuse in the state.

Mrs Nwifuru made this known during the visit of the NAPTIP team led by Mrs Offor Bertha, in her office, Centenary City, Abakaliki.
 The First Lady said her commitment to stop the trafficking of women and children was borne out of the dangers faced by by the trafficked children who are expose to different forms of danger after they are lure from their families. 

She opined that more needs to be done to tackle this crime especially in the state as she will partner NAPTIP to put a final stop to the trafficking of women and children. 
Earlier the leader of the team Mrs Offor Bertha while speaking appreciated the First lady of Ebonyi for her passion and doggedness to eradicate the scourge of Human Trafficking and Gender Based Violence in Ebonyi State. She also assumed Her Excellency of their unalloyed support in this quest.

She also pleaded for more Government intervention to attract foreign donor agencies that are ready to partner with them to end Human trafficking and Gender Based Violence. They appealed to be part of her sensitization tour in the state.
