Ebonyi First Lady To Undertake Renovation Of Remand Home

Office of the wife of Ebonyi State Governor has said it will speedily complete the reconstruction and renovation of the remand home in the state. 

Mrs Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru, wife of the State Governor stated that she will be fully involved in the project to ensure that the children who are in conflict or in contact with the law are provided with a descent and befitting Centre where they'll be guided through counselling sessions to become better persons.

She charged the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development in the state, Barr. Felicia Nwakpuma to swiftly get an engineer to commence the project which will house a skill acquisition center to teach the minors how to be useful to themselves and the society at large.

Earlier, The Commissioner for Women Affairs Barr Mrs Felicia Nwakpuma appreciated Chief Mrs. for her visit and also thanked her for the food stuffs and clothes she provided during the campaign period. 

Also, Mr Igwe Godwin, the Director of Child Development Department, while speaking, appealed to the state government to employ security men, supervisors to help train and counsel the kids and provide other needs. 

Mr Igwe appreciated the first lady for the her visit and gifts of food, clothings, mosquito nets, mattresses amongst other goodies to the kids.
