Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has reiterated the resolve of his administration to reward those who worked hard to give his party, the All Progressives Congress APC, Victory in the last election in the state.
This was revealed by Hon. Peter Nworie, chairman, appointment review committee at the council headquarters of Ikwo, Abakaliki and Ohaukwu during a visit of the committee to the Area.
Nworie while addressing the stakeholders and party leaders in Ikwo, Abakaliki and Ohaukwu LGAs said, they were in the local Government Areas to receive memos and reports on the spread of appointments made so far by the state government and to
know wards that have not been captured by the state government. This, according to Nworie was in line with the principle of equity, social and reward system of the state Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Hon Nworie, who doubles as the Zonal APC Chairman, Ebonyi Central, expressed further that the exercise is to ensure that every person that worked during last election gets what is due for them to reflect the mazim of "Onye ruo orie, onye rukaria, Orikarie." as championed by the state Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru
He emphasized that polling unit and ward results should also be attached to the report as such will guide the committee in putting up it's report.
Stakeholders of Ikwo, Abakaliki and Ohaukwu LGAs that spoke during the visit include the Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Moses Ije Odunwa of Ikwo, The Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Chinedu Onah of Ohaukwu, the three council chairmen, Hon. Barr Sunday Nwankwo of Ikwo, Hon. Stephen Nwogba of Abakaliki and Ikechukwu Odono of Ohaukwu among other relevant stakeholders thanked the governor and the committee for good job and like Oliver Twist, requested more positions in further appointments.
Memos were collected from all the wards in the above LGAs.
Similarly, the committee equally visited Ishielu and Ebonyi Local Government Areas, where the Council Chairmen, Hon. Obinna Onwe and Barr Chinedu Uburu extolled the state Governor, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his magnanimity in appointing their illustrious sons and daughters into strategic positions of trust. They expressed optimism that the appointment review exercise will afford their sons and daughters more opportunities for appointment in this present Government of Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Deputy Chief Whip of the state House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arinze Chukwu Lucas from Ishielu and Hon. Mrs Chinyere Nwogbaga from Ebonyi Local Government among other stakeholders and party leaders from the affirmationed council areas expressed appreciation to the governor and prayed for wisdom to take the state to higher height.
They reaffirmed their continued support for the government of Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, having seen the steps taken so far in addressing the people's need in the state.
