FUSA Gets New Leadership As Stakeholders Tasks Them On Unity, Progress

The federated Uburu Students Association (FUSA) National, has elected new leadership of the Association that will preside over the affairs of the Association for the next twelve months.

The election held on Friday, 6th January, 2023,, at Ekeaja market square in Uburu, Ohaozara local Government Area, which saw Comrade Ukachukwu Christiana emerged the national president, was adjuged to be free, fair, credible and peaceful.

In her acceptance speech, the president elect, Comrade Ukachukwu Christiana, appreciated God for seeing her through the period of election and expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming support given to her during the campaign period which saw her emerge victorious, assuring her colleague of her readiness to work with her team to uplift the Association.

"Special thanks to the Maker of the universe and the fullness therein who have in his infinite mercies seen us through in this election.   I am immensely grateful to the family, friends, and loyal supporters who so generously contributed their time and effort and  students generally who contributed their time and effort to campaign during this very election season.

"I am deeply moved by the expression of confidence from you all and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am immensely grateful. And I really do appreciate that. Being an effective legislator involves listening to constituents, translating their concerns into workable proposals, and building consensus to implement them. I can not do this job without the involvement and openness of the good people FUSA that I represent. And I promise never to let you down.
Let's work together for the betterment of FUSA. 

"Your supports demonstrates that you trust me to be your voice, and I cannot thank you enough for your trust. I pledge to take us to greater heights and to complete all of my goals.


"You’ve shown me that you believe in me by supporting. I hope I can live up to your expectations and assist you all in reaching greater heights.

I’m hoping that with your assistance, I can guarantee that we all have a great time and that any and all complaints are immediately remedied.I will try my best to fulfill your expectations and will try never let you down".

Receiving a communication from the from the Chairman, FUSA National Electoral Commission Comr. Samuel Nnamdi Steven after a successful free, fair and credible election declare the underlisted  people stood for the election and were returned elected; Ukachukwu Christiana - president elect; Odii Flora - Vice President elect; Idika Francis Chinonso - Senate president elect while Linus Faith - secretary elect.
Others are; Offor Joseph- Treasurer elect; Agwu Michael Chukwuebuka - Financial Secretary elect; Odii Precious - Director of welfare elect and Samuel Linus Onu - Director of sports/social.

According to him, the election was guided and monitored my FUSA NATIONAL stakeholders which includes Comr. Okoro Joshua Offor (Majesty), COMR. Orji Umahi , Comr. Samuel Chukwu Agwu and others including the Nigeria security officers who make sure there is law and order during and after the  the election.


One of the FUSA stakeholders, Comrade Okoro Offor Joshua (Majesty) lauded the transparent, Peaceful and organized nature of the election and urged the newly elected officials to work together for the progress of the Association, assuring them of his support at all times.
