At Appointed Time, You'll Lead Ebonyi - Lady Nkwegu Enjoins Sen. Ogba

Lady Mary Nkwegu, wife of Ebonyi gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Dr Edward Nkwegu on Sunday attended the Special Church Thanksgiving Service of Senator Obinna Ogba after the Supreme Court verdict on the governorship standard bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The event was held at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Nkalagu in  Ishielu LGA of Ebonyi State.

Lady Nkwegu used the opportunity to commend Senator Obinna Ogba for having demonstrated strong faith as a child of God, by organizing the special Thanksgiving Ceremony even when his struggle to become the Chief Servant of Ebonyi State in 2023 was truncated in the law court.

She appreciated Senator Ogba and his wife for inviting her to the Special Thanksgiving Ceremony, which she described as a memorable one.

She, however, sent a message of hope to Senator Ogba, his family and supporters, noting that at an appointed time, nothing would truncate his ambition to navigate the leadership of the state as a governor.

He urged Ogba to remain courageous, anchoring his hope in God while pursuing his dreams, maintaining that with God nothing is impossible.

Recall that Senator Obinna Ogba had earlier expressed joy over God's protection and grace upon him, his family and his supporters while pursuing his 2023 bid, though was not successful.

He expressed optimism that God would not disappoint his plan to make Ebonyi people happy in his lifetime.

"If one fails today, he may win tomorrow. If one wins today he may fail tomorrow. I'm grateful to God, my wife, and supporters and I will continue to be grateful," Ogba proclaimed.

In his sermon during the Holy Mass service, Rev Fr Ikenna Nnachi urged the congregation to live an exemplary life - a life of Thanksgiving to God, stressing that those who believe in Christ Jesus can never be disappointed no matter their obstacles.

Meanwhile, the Ebonyi gubernatorial candidate of the Labour Party, Edward Nkwegu was represented by his running mate, Prince Igwe Ajah Nwabueze, accompanied by his wife, Lady Mary Nkwegu who led all the wives of the Labour Party to the occasion.
