Just In: Gov Umahi Sets To Empower Another 7,621 Ebonyians

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has announced another set of empowerment program for 7,621 Ebonyians to mark the 62nd independence anniversary celebration of Nigeria and 26th anniversary of the creation of Ebonyi State.

In a statement by the commissioner for trade and investment, Barr. Mrs Chioma Nwaze, directed the intending beneficiaries to proceed to the ministry of trade and investment to collect other items in preparatory for the empowerment program.

The statement reads in full:

"Ebonyi State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi FSNE FNATE in his magnanimity has graciously approved the second phase of the empowerment program as about 7,621 Ebonyians are set to be empowered ahead of 1st October independence day celebration and Ebonyi at 26.

"Consequent upon the foregoing, all the beneficiaries are by this announcement requested to procced to the Ministry of Trade and Investment, ground floor, Block 10, Centenary City Secretariat, Abakaliki as from Monday 26th September, 2022  between 9am-4pm week days to collect wrappers and sewing stipend for the empowerment program.

"All the beneficiaries are advised in their own benefit to ensure that they sew the wrapper and appear in the uniform on 1st October, 2022 . 

 "Only the beneficiaries whose names are in the list are expected to come to the Ministry for the uniform with means of identification".

Recall that Governor David Umahi on the 1st of September, 2022 empowered over three thousand (3,000) Ebonyians with the sum of three hundred thousand naira only each (300,000).
