Gov Umahi Commended For Returning Power to Younger Generation

The Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) Ebonyi State Chapter, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has commended Governor David Umahi for mentoring the younger generation and providing veritable opportunities for them to contribute meaningfully to the development of the society. 

Chief Emegha stated this during the inauguration of the committees that will ensure a smooth transition of power in Afikpo South Local Government Area of the state.  

The State party Chairman, Chief Emegha who hails from the council area further enumerated numerous achievements of Governor Umahi in different strata of development stressing that he has changed the narrative of godfatherism phenomenon in the politics of Nigeria as in the case of the just concluded local government polls where mostly the youths were all elected by the masses to oversee the affairs of the people for a period of two years.   
While charging the various committees inaugurated to work assiduously to justify the confidence reposed in them, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha said, the time to rebuild broken walls has come adding that the overwhelming victory APC recorded at the polls statewide further described the people's love for Governor Umahi and his party.   
Meanwhile, the Chairman-elect of Afikpo South Local Government Area, Prince Chima Ekumankama on behalf of other elected officials expressed profound gratitude to critical stakeholders and the good people of Edda for the mandate given to them at the polls with assurances to chart a new course for the overall political and  socio- economic  development of Edda Clan.

Representing other members, the Chairman of Afikpo South LGA Central Transition Planning Committee, Barr. Livinus Agha Irem who acknowledged that developmental activities in the area has nosedived in the recent past pledged to deliver on their mandate. 
Goodwill messages which came from the former Deputy Speaker, Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Chief Mrs. Dorathy Obasi, Chief Ude I. Ude, Chief Patrick Olughu Eze and Commander Felix Udu (Rtd) among others harped on need for the new crop of leaders to consolidate on the glaring footprints of Governor Umahi in the area for the common good of all.

The Transition Planning Committee is expected to submit it's report within two weeks from the date of inauguration.
