Gboko Modern Market To Reopen First Week Of October - Council Chair

The Executive Chairman of Gboko Local Government Council, Hon. Isaac Mtom who is also the ALGON Treasurer in Benue has unveiled a time frame for reopening of Gboko Modern Market first week of October, 2022.

Mtom made this disclosure earlier today 8th August, 2022, while inaugurating the Gboko Modern Market reopening Committee Headed by Accountant Moses Detso  as Chairman and  Mr James Ajabo, the Council's internal auditor as Secretary to the committee among others.

Inaugurating the 17 Man committee, Mtom noted warehouses, security, among others as major challenges disrupting full operation of the market as he then, mentioned out some  strategies and measures already considered to address the challenges shortly.

Hon Mtom, lauded the recent inauguration of Community Volunteer Guards by Governor Samuel Ortom, noting that as big advantage to leverage on insecurity at the market premises. He further directed the committee to liaise with shop owners put all shops in shape before the end of September 2022.

Reacting in their separate Speeches, the committee Chairman, Accountant Moses Detso, Hon. Nahan Dzenda applauded Mtom on his innovative and developmental strides, they pledged unalloyed support, expressing confidence in the committee's ability & noted the constituted membership as resourceful.
