"Very honestly, I want to tell you that in Ebonyi here, we don't underate any political party and we don't claim that we have finished it, but what we know too very well is that we will continue to do what we can do best to make sure that our party is on ground which every body knows".

The state APC helmsman stated further that APC in the state parades the best candidate for the Chairmanship and councilorship position, who will convincely deliver the party and afterwards, consolidate on the transformational and developmental strides of the Governor and the leader of the party, Engr David Umahi.

"We're asking them to take a look at the transformation that have taken place in Ebonyi state and know it very well that there's no time a snake can give birth to a tortoise. So, our leader have laid a foundation. The footprint is very clearly on the ground and all of us will toe the path to make sure that Ebonyi is great"

He revealed that his party is keenly following all the EBSIEC and the Party's guidelines as all the aspirants for the Chairmanship and councilorship has been successfully screened and cleared except for the few who could not meet up with the Party's guidelines and to stand for the primary election slated for Thursday and Friday July 21st and 22nd.

He noted further that the leader of party and indeed the party leadership in the state provided a level playing field for all aspirants and assured that only popular candidates will emerge at the Primary.

He attributed the defeat of APC as a clear indication that the candidate was overated but never on ground.
"What happened in Osun state is an eye opener to politicians. They overated themselves over there, but in the real sense, there were not on ground".
