The special security Consultant (SSC) to Ebonyi state Government, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has warmed that no criminal elements will be spared in the state, noting that every security arrangements has been put in place to secure the state from criminal elements.
Speaking to journalist in Abakaliki while cross-examining about fifteen suspected criminals arrested in different parts of the state by members of Ebubeagu security outfit, the special security Consultant represented by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Internal Security, Hon Panchris Ikechukwu Eze (POWER) , reiterated his calls for criminal elements to leave the state or be ready to face the full weights of the law.
He said, "here, we have about fifteen suspected criminals arrested in different parts of the state for various offenses. Some of them are arrested for alleged raping of a minor, some are cultists, stealing, vandalising and stealing of Government property, consumption of mkpurumiri and so many other things. We will be handing them over to the police for further investigation and prosecution immediately after this profiling", he concluded.
"I have said it before, we are battle really to combat crimes in the state. It is our duty to protect life and property in the state and if you're a thief and you're still in the state, you're risking your life because the Ebubeagu security will not spare any criminal in the state".
Eze revealed that Ebubeagu also recovered four (4) stollen tricycles and seven (7) motorcycles, some handed over to the owners while others are with police.
On his part, the State Commander of Ebubeagu security, Mr Nnanna Solomon Ujor, said the successes recorded in fight against crime in the state was as a result of the fact that Governor David Umahi placed high premium on the security of life and property of his people and assembled security experts who are passionate in their job to handle the security architecture of the state.
The state Commander noted that the state special security Consultant, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha has provided a lot of positive direction for security operatives in the state particularly, the Ebubeagu security and result is awesome.
He stressed further, "Ebubeagu is a grassroot security. We come out from so many villages and Communities. We understand the behaviours of the people. Before anyone will pass, we know what he is up to, and we go after them. You listened to their confessional statements and you can see it were not framed".
He urged criminals to stay away from crime and be accommodated in the state or continue with it and end up in jail.
Speaking to our reporter, some of the suspects, Ugochukwu Amadi, 22yreas old man from Oziza, Afikpo North local Government Area of the state, confessed to have stolen a total of fifteen (15) mobile phones from different people while Onyekachi Anwara, 35yeas man from Ugwegu in the same Afikpo North, confessed to have conspired with others and steal amoured and some high tension cables among others.
They advised other criminals in the state to stay away from crime, noting that crime does not pay.
