Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha have felicitated with Ebonyi workers on this year's workers day celebration, assuring them of Governor David Umahi's genuine commitment to their wefare.
This was contained in his message to workers.in the state.
His message reads;
"May 1st is historic in the annual calendar of every Nigerian worker because, it offers an opportunity not just to remember the struggle for better take home among other improved conditions of service but the day also serves as an avenue to bring to lime light other issues that can help the nation in its efforts to be at par with other advanced countries of the world.
"Sequel to the above considerations, let me first commend the Nigerian workers for their due diligence, hard work, resilience and dedication towards building a vigorous and robust nation where there will be no difference among the people based on any identifiable parameter.
"Over the years, workers have continued to show great commitment to issues that will benefit the entire Nigerian population by shelving their sword when necessary. They are fully aware that labour is the nucleus of human existence and nub of development, hence the persistent display of professionalism and patriotism in the discharge of their responsibilities on daily basis.
"As praises continue to pour in from different quarters, may I charge you, the Nigerian workers to shun acts inimical to your official conducts and raise the bar of productivity higher in line with the policies and programs of the government".
Similarly, the state APC helmsman, who doubles as the Special Security Consultant to Ebonyi State Government, equally felicitated with the Muslim faithfuls on the Successful completion of the Ramadan fast, praying God grant their prayers.
"let me felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of their holy month of Ramadan with a call to be selfless and peace loving in their dealings with others as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
"As we mark these public holidays, be assured that there will be no security breach of any kind as concerned authorities are working round the clock to protect lives and property of the people within this enclave called Ebonyi State".
