The National Rescue Movement Party has expressed her readiness to take over political powers in Ebonyi State and in Nigeria. This was made known at an enlarged stakeholders Meeting of the party held in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital.
Addressing party supporters at the event, the National Vice Chairman and Southeast zonal Chairman of the party, Hon. Ibeneme Edozie explained that Nigerians are no longer comfortable with the way things are going in Nigeria under PDP and APC and have resolved to join NRM to rescue the country and make it a better place for all the citizens.
"NRM is a party established and registered by INEC for the past eight years. It was formed as a movement to rescue the country from total collapse in the hands of the so called major political parties. Within these periods, we have contested and won about seven elections in some states, especially in the Northern part of Nigeria. In 2023, we hope to win more Elections in many states and even the presidential election.
"We are not relenting on our mission, we have our stragies aimed at rescuing Nigeria since other parties have failed. We have seen that instead of things getting better, it is becoming worse and so the better alternative is National Rescue Movement Party.
NRM wants to revive Nigeria by providing employment, security and social amenities that will better the lives of our people. In Ebonyi State, we shall give priority to Agriculture, youth employment and social welfare. We shall put smiles on faces of the people". He assured.
Speaking on plans to reach people at the grassroots, the national vice Chairman noted that with the efforts of Ebonyi State Chairman of the party, before the 2023 Election, NRM party would be a household name in Ebonyi State and beyond.
"Political party is all about manifesto, programs and your ability to convince the people to join the rescue mission. With our leadership structure, their personalities and programs in Ebonyi State, there is no doubt that the State will be taken over by NRM in 2023. We promise not to disappoint our people" he concluded.
On his part, the Ebonyi State Chairman of NRM, Hon. Stanley Ogodo thanked members of the party for their turnout, and the national leadership for their support. He noted that the large turnout of stakeholders for the meeting was an indication that the Party is accepted in the State since people are tired of PDP and APC.
"
With what you have seen today, you will now know that National Rescue Movement Party is on ground in Ebonyi State. We just had stakeholders meeting and this crowd attended, what will happen if it's a general meeting?
"We will continue to mobilize at the grassroots level and I assure you that NRM will surprise the people of the State. Our forms are now on sale, those interested in contesting for any position should come to our office and pick their form at an affordable price to join the rescue movement".
Other speakers including the State woman leader, Apostle Dr. Nwankwo Chinwe Bibian said Ebonyi women have embraced NRM and expressed hope that the party will change the political narratives in Ebonyi and Nigeria come 2023.
The Stakeholders Meeting which was well attended by members across the state withnessd the inauguration of the State and some Local Government Area Executive of NRM in Ebonyi State by the national vice Chairman of the party, Hon. Ibeneme Edozie.
