Political aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Afikpo South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, on Thursday, embarked on familiarization tour of all the electoral wards in the council Area.
The ward tour which was led by House of Representatives aspirant for Afikpo North/Afikpo South Federal Constituency, Comrade Okenwa Nnachi Uka, toured the five wards in Afikpo South West state Constituency which include; Nguzu Edda, Ameke Ekoli, Amairi Ekoli, Ndioke and Ebunwana wards respectively.
The aim of the tour was to consult and familiarise with the ward Executives of the party and strategic stakeholders ahead of 2023 general election.
They lauded the Developmental strides of Governor David Umahi led administration in the state particularly, in Edda land and urged the people to supporting the Governor and his administration. The group noted that the administration of Governor David Umahi have benefited Edda people more than any other administration in the state, citing the election of their son, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha as the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, construction of Iyere Edda flyover, infrastructural projects, appointment of their sons in strategic political positions, empowerement of youths and women in the area among other things.
The aspirants called for continued support for the governor as he windes down.
Wrappers, Cash gift among other things were given to each wards visited.
Other aspirants in the tour incude Prince Chima Ekumankama, Afikpo South Chairmanship Aspirant, Joshua Ama Nnanna, Afikpo Southeast House of Assembly Aspirant and Hon. Stephen Oji Igwe, Afikoo Southwest House of Assembly Aspirant.
They Pleadged to ensure speedy delivery of dividends to democracy to the people if elected.
