Monday, 10th January 2022 shall remain indelible in the memory of the participants to a one-day Prayer summit organized by the Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area,Hon. Barr. Oby Oko Enyim.
The Prayer/Fasting Service was held at the Local Government Headquarters, Afikpo.
The event which had in attendance notable men of God from Christian Association of Nigeria, Penticostal Fellowship of Nigeria,Divine Mandate Pastors Forum and Afikpo Christian Fellowship was packaged by the Leadership of the Council to seek the presence of God for the year 2022.
Apart from the Ministers of the Gospel, other participants included the Political Leaders, Principal Officers and staff of the Council as well as staff of the Local Government Education Authority.
It was indeed a moment of Spiritual refreshment as God released His Grace and Mercy upon his people.
Prayers were offered for God's guidance, protection and provision for the President of the Country, Muhammadu Buhari; Ebonyi State Governor,Engr.David Umahi & his team and the Chairman of Afikpo North LGA, Hon Barr Oby Oko Enyim and her team.
In a remark, the Executive Chairman of Afikpo North Local Government Area, Hon Barr Oby Oko appreciated God Almighty for His faithfulness in the lives of the leaders, Stakeholders and people of Afikpo North LGA in the past year(2021) and His Grace that brought them to the year 2022.
She further appreciated all Stakeholders for their cooperation which has brought about relative peace in the Area and therefore restated her administration's preparedness to serve with the fear of God adding that she will at all times seek godly counsel and direction.
Excited Barr. Oby eulogized the State Governor, His Excellency, Engr David Umahi for providing exemplary Leadership for the people of Ebonyi State and assured that the Local Government under her watch shall continue to do it's best to promote peace and grassroot development.
The HPM of the Council,Deaconess Lynda Ibe testified on behalf of the Council,on how God led His People in the just concluded year and expressed optimism that the year 2022 holds a lot of prospects for the Government and good people of Afikpo North.
Earlier in a Sermon, the Chaplain of the Council, Deacon Henry Ndukwe Oko tasked believers to understand the purpose of their been here on Earth and use any position they are occupying to fulfill God's will.
All the men of God who spoke including Apostle Kelvin Elem, Evangelist(Dr) Hyacinth Okechukwu Otu, Rev(Dr) Michael Oyari and Pastor(Mrs)Chinyere Okogwu all commended the Council Chairman for always putting God first in everything she does and expressed confidence that God will work out His purpose through the Prayer/fasting Service as well as do wonderous things in Afikpo North, Ebonyi State and the Nation at Large.
It is good to know GOD Almighty in anything we are doing because we are the children of GOD THANKS.
